Iceland is the largest volcanic island in the world and, with four inhabitants per square kilometre, the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Glaciers cover more than eleven percent of its surface, and the climate is definitely something for cold lovers, as even in summer, the temperatures in Iceland reach a mere 15°C.
