For the Bogner family, St. Moritz in the Swiss Engadin is a second home. Back in the 1950’s, Maria Bogner loved to present her elegant outfits against the spectacular backdrop of the Corvatsch – the 3000-metre peak that Willy Bogner Jr later described as an “unbeatable” ski resort. In 1958, Willy Bogner Sr bought the Bärenhütte, which has been in the family ever since. One year later, the then 17-year-old Willy Jr caused a sensation by winning the legendary “White Ribbon” race. And he was subsequently to use the mountain giant as the main protagonist of his ski films. He staged over 40 films and fashion shoots in the Engadin and on the Corvatsch – above all scenes from the Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me” (1977) and the ski spectacular “Fire and Ice” (1986). In 1994, Willy celebrated the premiere of his film “White Magic” with a spectacular “Real 3D” live show at the summit station of the Corvatsch with a glacier wall serving as a screen. The close relationship between the brand BOGNER and the Engadin continues to this day. In 2019, Cédric Buchet photographed top model Guinevere Van Seenus true to style for the NET-A-PORTER x in St. Moritz.
