Munich, August 1, 2024. With a more than 90-year history, the Munich-based lifestyle and luxury sports fashion company BOGNER has a rich heritage and a distinct international positioning, supported by a strong and loyal customer base. In recent years, BOGNER has strategically positioned itself for the future and is now on a path of sustainable success. The company achieved record revenues in the 2023/24 fiscal year – the corresponding financials will be published soon.
The Bogner family, as the sole owner of BOGNER, is determined to build on the company’s recent success and invest in the continued global growth of BOGNER. Against this backdrop, the family has decided to sell shares in the company to a strong partner to actively strengthen BOGNER Group’s equity structure and allow them to continue writing the success story of BOGNER together. The structured process to find a partner will be started soon.
In the coming months, CEO Gerrit Schneider, together with Daniel Hiendlmeier, who has been a member of the Management Board since June 2024, as well as Frank Wiesner (CFO) and Juliane Drerup-Hero (General Counsel), will closely accompany the search for a partner and manage the company together with the strong and proven management team.
Prior to the family’s decision, Gerrit Schneider had already decided to leave the company year-end 2024 after more than five years at BOGNER, to take up a new position in another company.
Gerrit Schneider has been part of the BOGNER team since March 2019. After starting as CFO, she first became Co-CEO in April 2020 and finally took over the management of the company as sole CEO in November 2022. Under Gerrit Schneider’s leadership, BOGNER successfully completed a performance program in recent years, reduced complexity, and positioned itself to be consistently faster, more agile, and profitable. BOGNER has been on a sustainable global growth path ever since.
Daniel Hiendlmeier, Chief Impact Officer at BOGNER, was appointed to the Management Board effective June 1, 2024. He joined BOGNER in May 2023 and has advanced important initiatives relating to sustainability, the China joint venture, and the company culture. Prior to joining BOGNER, Daniel Hiendlmeier proved his expertise as a manager in the sporting goods industry. He held management positions at adidas, GORE, and most recently Mammut, where he was Head of Business Unit Apparel immediately before joining BOGNER.
Florinda Bogner: “We intend to continue BOGNER’s success story together with a strong partner. BOGNER is on a successful path, and now is the right time to find a partner who can invest in BOGNER on a long-term and financially strong basis.”
Arndt Geiwitz, Chairman of the Advisory Board of BOGNER: “We have continuously developed BOGNER over the past five years, with the company achieved the highest sales in its history in the past financial year. BOGNER is in an excellent position for worldwide growth; however, this requires strengthening the equity base. Gerrit Schneider has made a significant contribution to this very positive development. On behalf of the Advisory Board and the entire company, I would like to thank Gerrit Schneider for her extraordinary commitment. I am delighted that she will closely accompany the sale of shares together with Daniel Hiendlmeier.”
