“If you’re going to do it, then do it really well,” was Willy’s motto. And this is precisely what he did in this film. The best skiers of the time provided the action – Toni Sailer, Jean-Claude Killy, Bud Werner and Luggi. The film was shot in Cinemascope. The music was composed by the successful film composer Benny Golson; and the London Philharmonic Orchestra played it. The plot was inspired by the hit film “West Side Story” with its perfect combination of music and dance. “Skfascination” was the first “skiing musical” – for which Willy quite incidentally invented choreographed skiing.
