From the Ski Slope Straight into the Dictionary

What do Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield and Liz Taylor have in common? They are all Hollywood legends – and they all wore the revolutionary “Bogners” in the 1950’s. That’s what the equally desirable and elegant wedge trousers made of stretch material were called. Maria Bogner had initially developed them for the ski slope, but they soon caused a sensation as feminine après-ski and evening wear. In the USA, the term “Bogners“ even found its way into the dictionary as a synonym for women’s ski trousers and Maria was dubbed the “Queen of the Wedge Pants”. To this day, wedge trousers are the brand’s hallmark, both summer and winter, and an integral part of every BOGNER collection, and they are always one step ahead of the trend. At the end of the 1980s, they dazzled with their understated look, and were often worn with court shoes. At the beginning of the 2000s, the trousers were characterised by technical materials such as water-repellent fleece and windproof material. And today they combine functional luxury with fashion flair.
